| Well, here they are. All
101 of them. In each picture you will find one or more Star
Destroyers. For those of you who don't know what Star
Destroyers are,
they are starships of the evil Galactic Empire in the original Star
Wars trilogy. The Star Destroyers in these solutions are
pictures of a fiber-optic model I put together. When the
lights are low, it most impressively illuminated! |
| |
| I tried to make each Star
Destroyer recognizable and not distort it too much. Most of the
solutions are small scenes. Take the asteroid hangar bay
images, for example. They show the Star Destroyers going in,
coming out, or just drifting by. The hanger bay itself was
done in Bryce 5, while the rest of it was done in Photoshop. |
| |
| There are a few "What is
that supposed to be?" pictures as well. I'll try to
clarify them a little bit for you folks not really "in" to
Star Wars . First of all, the red Star Destroyer is meant to be a
smuggler's ship in the expanded universe (outside the movies, but
has a large part in Star Wars novels). To make it stand out
amongst all the gray, the smuggler painted it red. As for the blue Star
Destroyers, they're actually not blue. The ship itself is
still gray; it's the energy shield around it that makes it appear
blue. That is, if they were real. The technology that
will make it possible may only be a few decades away.
As for now, it's only in people's dreams and artwork.
Therefore, I hope you will enjoy these 101 images of art! |
