"Attire" - Artist Statement

This was about where the "Computer Slayer" line of designs began.  The right most figure is the Computer Slayer in a full suit of armor, with his foot resting on a monitor, and holding a mouse like a trophy.  Applying the textures was the most time consuming part of the project.  All the figures were drawn in Illustrator, with the texturing of the Computer Slayer figure in Photoshop.

The posture of the figure was tricky to reuse (part of the project criteria), so it was interesting coming up with two other figures that would be in a similar posture to that of the Computer Slayer.  So, I came up with a magician and his rabbit, then a Roman philosopher.  I was quite pleased with the way the folds in the cloth turned out in the Roman philosopher.  Clothing is not the easiest thing to fabricate.
